Oops - should have checked BIOS versions before I bought a 4790K (going on a Gigabyte UD4H). Going to assume that if unsupported by BIOS the computer won't POST so there's no way to flash the BIOS with the new CPU. This pretty much the gist?

Hi All, Was looking to sell a few 4770k's, BNIB never opened to fund 970 purchase. Ebay for similar condition completed auctions look to be about $270-$330 range. Any thoughts on what might be reasonable ask on forums? Thanks!

Based on benchmarks it looks like the 970 oc'd would be a killer 1080p card. Pondering MSI 970 4G, Gigabyte G1, or Asus STRIX 970 or a stock 980 (haven't researched brands). Any compelling reasons for a 980 instead at 1080p? I don't buy video cards often.

Basically looking at either the Noctua D14 vs Corsair 110. Noctua is ~$75 on Amazon, and Corsair after Amex pro is about $79-89. Don't have a case, would run caseless or otherwise. CPU 4770k and mobo gigabyte UD4H. Any thoughts on what you'd go with?
