I followed those instructions and things seem to be going okay so far. I do Bitcoin mining and distributed computing so I will have to watch for a bit to make sure it's working out okay. I went from 800Mhz core to 900 so far, and 1125 memory to 1275 :)
I was wondering if someone could point me towards a guide or something that can show me how to do this properly/safely. I have a Sapphire HD7750, and have gotten as far as downloading TriXX which is the overclocking utility. I do not know how to test out the settings to make sure they're...
Well it depends what it is. If I order a crappy keyboard or something not particularly volatile, that's one thing. But I certainly would not buy a knock off smartphone or anything else I expect some level of quality out of.
This is ridiculous. That thing is massive and impractical. You would need a bag to carry it around in if you actually had one of those. Not that I can think of many people who need an iPhone case to stop a .50 cal bullet. That's called priorities. It's amusing that it succeeded in stopping the...
I hate IE because it's annoying and I hate the UI of it. I also hate the settings, and currently use Chrome. I have nothing against Firefox, I just like the feel of Chrome better. The searching in the address bar thing is gold.
BTW I find it cool that Antarctica uses primarily Firefox (as...
I can't decide how I feel about this. On one hand, counterfeit parts allow us to get things much cheaper than we could originally, sometimes at the same quality. On the other hand, there is no regulation, and they can sell any amount of garbage they want. Sometimes, in the case of certain...
Both of these. This copyright issue is so archaic and a waste of good resources. Instead of being greedy trying to shut down file sharers, why not use the money towards developing some useful content providing services? Make them global too, since us non-Americans can't even get anything...
Is there a way to make your printer not use black ink for something? I know some printers have this setting, but I am not sure if there is also a software component or something that's built in to the OS/software/etc. I am running Win 7, and have a Lexmark S300 all in one printer.
Definitely going to check some of these apps out. I also recommend SwiftKey for a keyboard since I liked the extra functionality. Youmail maybe if you have the desire to set it up, or ability to do it with your carrier. I also use SanDisk Memory Zone to backup my phone to my Dropbox.
Oh I know it's for their benefit, that's my point. Since the PS3 is old enough that it's not terribly expensive anymore, the redesign and supposed cost effectiveness does not benefit the consumer at all.
Definitely wasn't, it was just one way the money could be better used.
Another wonderful way in which technology can help fight crime. Now all we have to do is attach these cameras innocuously to plain cars, and reap the rewards.
Don't give them ideas, they're obviously tracking you right now.
The only real point to this tracking I see is that it just gives another way for Facebook to exploit its users. Is there a way to opt out of this crap?
Instead of wasting all of this money "redesigning" the PS3, why don't they put it towards making the next gen console? Also, why does it matter that it's "lighter"? It might matter more if it was a handheld console.

Overcoming the lame ass restrictions Apple puts on their devices is satisfying enough that doing it for no purpose other than the sake of doing it is delightful.
This made me highly amused that the iPhone 5 was jailbroken on the same day it was released.
This is my experience. I personally have not had any warnings, nor do I know anyone who has. It's not in the provider's best interest to impose on their customers. Because whether they go to another provider, or just get cut off, they are losing their customer.
That being said, though, I...
Well now I am jealous since when I look up the price for the K800 its around $100 for me :( that could also be because of my location though, which sucks either way. I've always wanted a backlit keyboard because it's annoying putting my face only 6 inches away from the keyboard in the dark.
It likely isn't far around the corner. Apple is apparently slowing down, and even they have made progress in the capacity of their phones (offering a 64GB iPhone 5).
I definitely lol'd at this. It was especially funny that it was an iPhone 4S, and one guy had an iPhone 4S, but didn't even recognize they were the same phone.
How common do I believe it is? I am only saying it's worse than on consoles. You can only ban people from a server if the admin cares enough. Which is hit or miss.
That's funny and good unless some random admin decides to do that to you regardless of whether you have done anything wrong or...
People can and do use cheats all the time. There is JTAG, which basically modifies the firmware of the console. Xbox will console ban you immediately if they catch you using a modded console, but they have to catch you first. Some people are dumb enough to use modded games. JTAG allows them to...
I know it's a little too late for this, but in order to prevent this mishap in the future, plug your devices into surge protectors, and not directly into the wall. That way your electronics will not be fried by a lightning strike again. Next time, something more expensive might get damaged!
I like the fact that it's rechargable and has a backlight. I have had my current keyboard for about a year now (also a Logitech), but if I needed a new one, I think this one would be very high on the list of potential replacements.
You could always opt for a USB dongle. It's fast, cheap, and easy, and will do the trick. This of course depends on speed, but that shouldn't be an issue since even USB 2.0 is faster than most internet connections.
I am 100% over the iPhone hype. I am with OP in that it was cool at first, but once the phones ended up being sort of the same thing over the years, while Android phones continued to improve, I thought of switching. Now I finally have, and I have a Galaxy SIII. I couldn't be happier. If iOS is...
A wireless Bluetooth gaming mouse would likely be very hard to find. Wireless has a slight lag to it, which makes it not so good for gaming most of the time. There also aren't very many Bluetooth mice on the market. So realistically, you can get a wireless mouse not specifically meant for...
