People bitching about DLC's are living in the past. Games take 5 years to develop now. It makes sense not to reinvent the wheel and make some DLCs for it.
Bioware games are always good for 40 hours. They are steals entertainment wise at $50-60 (the same price new games have been for 20 years!!!)...
They're a publicly traded company so its their job now to be greedy af. I can just imagine a full screen Kohls or Target ad everytime I click to launch a game. Maybe not right away, but it would happen.
I see it as a waste of time for them, but who knows some Farmville and Candy Crush players...
IV was the most fun for me. I loved hearing the "clink" of a new iron source popping up from a mine next to my city. The unstacking of units in V was both bad and good. On the plus side it eliminated the "super stacks" that combined awesome defense units with great offensive units. However, it...
It sounds from the previews they improved the "exploratory" factor over HR. That was really my only complaint with HR, most the levels felt a little claustrophobic. As usual with Deus Ex, the graphics are good, but not spectacular.
Hopefully hacking is a little more rewarding and challenging...
Solid deal on the 512. IMO the 500 Samsung Evo is a better deal when it goes on sale because you get an awesome 5 year warranty compared to 3 on the Transcend.
It's a pretty laid back, slo paced game. A bit MMO ish in some aspects. Quests respawn, items respawn, monsters respawn. I enjoyed it, but its not a blockbuster.
Amazon claims another. They won't have to price match anything in 2 years because they will have no competitors. Your future Geforces will be costing $700, glad I won't be the fool buying them.
They're made to excel in very high lit areas, so doubt they consider backlight bleed a defect on this line. Hopefully they let you return it, but they might want a "smoking gun" type of defect especially being a refurb.
The 27" has been officially cancelled (ordered it last Friday). They gave a 20% discount on any refurb from now until Dec 15th, which is weak, as I'm guessing they're going to be smart and not list any great deals in that time frame. NEC drops the ball.
If there were any "great" MMOs in the last 5 years WoW would have been killed off. We probably won't see another great one either, it would take too much of an investment from a publisher to do. Blizzard themselves aren't even doing another one, they canned their Titan project a couple years...
That would mean their shopping cart manager doesn't actively deduct from their database for inventory hard to believe for a major corporation like this.
NEC probably hard limited it to one in the checkout to avoid resellers buying. If you tried circumventing and bought 2 might be why your order is "on hold" and eventually cancelled.
Best deal from Black Friday so far. Even get a 1 year warranty with this one so you know NEC checked them out real good. You couldn't touch name brand monitors with these specs for under $600 a year ago. It will serve me perfect for a few years until video card makers can comfortably catch up...
All I can say is support the kickstarter PC games. Yeah they aren't perfect and a little rough around the edges, but it is our future. Cheap console ports are here to stay and they suck ass.
Unless you've been in a coma the last 5 years, you should know PC gaming is now console ports on a shoestring budget, What's even more insulting is a lot of companies showing off games at E3 and the like decked out on a killer PC, only to nerf them back down to console level graphics at release...
These kind of games were fun as a kid but I find it no longer possible to take a strategy game seriously that can represent 1000 dragons in a 10' by 10' hex :)
1080p lulz. 4k will be streamable soon. Once it does the value of even the best 1080p TVs drops to a few hundred dollars. Not a sound investment to buy a premium 1080p right now..
Properly working bearings, regardless of type, are silent. So all those buzzwords you read on their site are them rubbing snake oil on you.
The noise of a fan is all made from them spinning blades. Are those little grooves in Noctua's blades some magic invention the make them 50% quieter than...
A fan's a fan. Don't pay triple the money for something that is only quieter because it pushes less air. If they really had some incredible patented technology, the company would have been bought by a big fish.
