I have never put a CD and HD on the same cable before because I remember hearing years ago that it would slow down your HD. Is this true? I just put a pc together from some spare parts and am short a ide cable and was going to put them on the same cable if it wouldn't make a difference.

I downloaded realtemp and core temp. My motherboard utility was 3 degrees off of what realtemp was reporting, I was pretty happy with that. There is a 10 degree difference between realtemp and core temp is there a reason for this, or should I trust one over the other. Also one core is running 6...
