Seeing as I'm not due for an upgrade until July 2012 I'll just stick with my Captivate. Only one of the new phones that really seems cool is the Atrix, the Inspire looks just like an EVO and the Infuse is basically my phone but a few more feature and a little too big for my liking (4.0" is...
IMO console games this generation hold up pretty well, where last generation the difference was much greater. I think a lot of the reason console games still look pretty good (at least to me) is that in general you sit farther away from a 40" TV than a 22" PC monitor. So the textures and edges...
I hate it as well. It seems like you have to be super firm with it. If you drive over a bump the FF moves the wheel which in turn moves the cars wheels in game making you spin/move around, so to stay in a straight line it seems you just have to either A. go really slow, or B. manhandle the...
The funniest thing about these fanboy arguments are when 360 and PS3 fanboys try to talk about how much they don't want or need the other consoles exclusive games.
example: Halo SUCKS!1!!!!!1!!21!11! etc.
I can't be the only one who sees these arguments and then doesn't read the rest of...
I have both and lately I have been leaning towards my PS3.
The 360 is a little more user friendly when it comes to it's interface and online gaming, but the PS3's online network is more than adequate for what I'm paying for it. It may not be quite as simple to do so, but you can join your...
So, definitely looking forward to Gears 2 (that scene with marcus mowing down the locust army with a minigun... EPIC) and Portal still alive. And the netflix announcement sounds bad ass, I may have to subscribe to it to rent blu-rays for my PS3 and having the ability to stream movies on my TV...
Yeah I've seen a few, but not to the extent I've seen as of today. Suddenly thousands of people realize the PS3 is irrelevant because FFXIII is not EXCLUSIVE to PS3 but still available on it, and these people only care about JRPG's and have no desire to play any of PS3's other hits like MGS4...
I love the 360 fanboys jumping for joy over this and the tens of thousands of posts saying "I was ONLY gonna buy a PS3 for FFXIII but now I don't have to." Like seriously?
Microsoft is BRILLIANT by having there press conference first, they get all the attention and hype for the...
Though I have no doubt the game isn't very good, I do think IGN is being a bit harsh here.
I played the demo and thought it was, pretty much nothing special. But to give it the same score as the history channel game and WORSE than turning point fall of liberty which was sooo terrible I...
I always pre-order on amazon.com, never pre-ordered from a walk in store though. Amazon you pre-order and it shows up on your door on release day, simple, easy and they don't bill you for it until it ships.
See here is something most people don't take into account. Viewing Distance, if you sit at the proper distance from your set the slight resolution difference is all but unnoticeable, but the playstations colors and lack of dithering is noticeable. I play on a 56" tv and sit 14' back, and from...
Mine started to do the whole freeze on the loading screen thing. And what seems to work is to log ff the Playstation Network and then play, it worked for me, though obviously you can't play multiplayer. It's weird though because it started to happen to me at like 35% completion so I thought i...
Maybe, I typcially trust IGN's reviews as they're typically spot on with how I would rate game, But I honestly didn't expect this game to get below a 9.8 or so with how much they've been singing it's praises in all the previews for it, so a 10 didn't seem that odd to me.
I'm not saying there haven't always been the annoying kiddies and that they aren't there on other systems. They're just there in much higher numbers on 360 since everyone has a mic, and anyone who has played CoD4 or Halo 3 recently would have the joy of experiencing this.
On PS3 I can invite my friends into a game, and I can talk to them with a headset when they're in it. It's not quite as simple as Xbox Live, but the end result is the same with my friends and I in the server chatting and having a good time... so I fail to see how the online experience differs...
What does Xbox live have ANYTHING to do with the 360 version being superior? The online experience will be IDENTICAL. For one there will be millions of copies sold for PS3, so any concern that there will not be an adequate fan base for the PS3 is ludicrous... there will be no problems at all...
I don't get the complaint about installs. I mean is waiting 5-10 minutes for the game to install the FIRST and only the first time you play that big a deal. God help me if having to wait a few minutes for the game to install was enough reason to sway me to the 360 version.
I have both...
Pre-ordered it on Amazon for the PS3 today (I have both, but the DLC doesn't interest me at all so I went with the PS3). Hopefully they ship it the day before launch like they did with halo 3 so it gets here on launch day.
The cost of live is annoying as you basically have to throw down 50 bucks a year to get the whole value out of a game. When I primarily PC gamed I paid 50 bucks and got to enjoy the whole game, PS3 60 bucks, with 360 if you buy 5 games you're basically paying 70 bucks a game to get the whole...
+1
I usually run through a game on easy or normal first just to get the whole experience. And if it's a game I REALLY enjoy I'll go through it again on a harder difficulty. But as you said if you wan't a challenge go online.
PS3.
Had all my previous GTA's on playstation, the DLC or multiplayer isn't a selling point to me, and I like my DS3 for GTA better than the X-box pad.
Completely the opposite for me. PSN downloads lighting fast and online gaming is as simple as picking a server and hitting X. I would gladly have 360 revert to a PSN like system insead of paying 50 bucks for what we get on live now.
The bundle is the 80 GB, its exactly the same as the old motorstorm bundle, except the sixaxis is replaced by a dualshock 3 and motorstorm is replaced by MGS4.
Because the 360 does its own upscaling. Most games are made at 720P (or lower in some cases) and anything higher than that is simply upscaled. The truth of the matter is a 1080P tv can ONLY show 1920x1080P at all times, any image below that is upscaled to the TV's native rez of 1080P to be...
Listening to all these complaints about bioshock and UT3 is exactly why I switched to console gaming. I just popped in bioshock, sat back on my couch and enjoyed, no glitches, no need to patch etc. Same thing with UT3, works fine and is pretty damn fun on my PS3.
Halo 3 was my biggest...
I accidentally voted for 360 after reading the thread title and thinking it was the 360 HD-DVD player playing an HD-DVD vs. the PS3 upscaling a regular DVD. When it comes to upscaling capabilities it is definitely the PS3 with an edge.
There really isn't any at all.
One of those pics is on my PS3 one is on 360. They're not different at all really when sitting at normal viewing distance, there was no framerate drop on either version. IMO the PS3 controller felt better than the Xbox pad though.
if you have a good PC go with PS3 why?
Most 360 exclusives (bioshock, halo series, gears of war etc.) end up on PC anyways. PS3 exclusive don't and then you get a blu-ray player as well.
