    Samsung Odyssey Neo G9 57" 7680x2160 super ultrawide (mini-LED)

Anyways, I got the LG 39GS95QE yesterday. Been testing it against the 57" G9 for gaming. Will update impressions soon.

Ok so just testing 3440x1440, and I find it is totally fine for gaming. Can barely notice much difference. Difference is only really noticable in desktop reading text.

Ugh how do you add custom resolutions. Trying to add 3440x1440 to test. Tried CRU, won't work Tried Custom resolution in NVCP, greyed out Tried registry hack NV_Modes, didn't work either EDIT: Nevermind, finally got custom res working.

Or maybe, when I get home I will try a 3440x1440 res on my 57" G9 and see if the quality bothers me. Its nearly the same height display as the 39" Oled, so essentially should look similar at the same res yea?

Once again, I may have to drop cash on a expensive gaming display just to compare. When will I learn?

What about if I were to use the 39" with DLDSR in games. I have never used DLDSR, but heard it can increase detail in output reolution.

I would not be using DLSS at all if I am using the 3440x1440 display. Because that res is so much easier to drive so I would be using it at native or DLAA. Hence I am comparing here, 7680x2160 with DLSS quality/performance to 3440x1440 @ native or DLAA. I havent tried running the lower res with...

    Samsung Odyssey Neo G9 57" 7680x2160 super ultrawide (mini-LED)

Would you guys think I would be down grading or sidegrading if i were to pass this monitor on for a new 39" oled panel out now? I.e. the LG 39Gs95qe or Asus PG39WCDM I know I would be sacrificing alot of pixel density and brightness for contrast ratio and deeper blacks. Not sure if it would...

    Samsung Odyssey Neo G9 57" 7680x2160 super ultrawide (mini-LED)

You want the most immersion and you are comparing the 49" vs the 57" NG9. Ive used both extensively, and there is absolutely no contest against the 57" for immersion. Like another guy here said the 57" will immerse out of your butt because of its dual 32" 4K real estate! No gaming display...

Yea that could be the issue. But the overall extremely low brightness levels, just did not look anywhere near vibrant in large tropical scenery areas in HFW, compared to the 57" NG9.

Are you talking about the 57" If yes, I totally agree! HFW with a bit of reshade tweaking looks bloody gorgeous on my 57". I went and looked at my friends new 49" Oled G9, and I could not believe how crap (besides the shadows in caves) it looked compared to this 57" NG9. To me, Oled isn't...

Anyone playing Horizon Forebidden West on this monitor. Please tell me all your monitor settings and ingame HDR calibration settings. BTW, HFW actually looks incredible on this monitor!

So is that video of adjusting Max CLL static tone mapping and target peak luminance only for Cypherpunk 2077 or is that applied to other games aswell? What about Alan Wake 2 HDR? I really like the light source glowing effect in Cypberpunk from DTM active, it really pops! EDIT: Ahh man, i think...

Ok. So been testing back and forth with active tone mapping vs static in cyberpunk. Still find it difficult to determine a winner for me. But I think I will have to go with active tone mapping, because it seems to bring out brighter light sources yet keep good contrast. But I have to use these...

    14900K Is this normal Behaviour?

I found the limit of negative offset my cpu can take. Adaptive negative offset -0.12v will run perfect, -0.125 will not.
