    Corsair up to 60% off

Yea, I had a hunch MSRP or an original price it hasn't been sold at in a noticeable amount of time was factor on on quite a few items. To be fair, that's to be expected on something like a $200 mattress or a mail order catalog so everyone can go "AMG look at all this money you're saving. This...

    Corsair up to 60% off

This is a pretty shady "Gold Box Deal of the Day". e.g. The K95 is only $125 at Newegg vs $152 on this Amazon promo

Budget monitor comparison - BenQ EW2750ZL (VA) and HP 25xw (AH-IPS)

I really wish I could find something that wasn't subject to a panel lottery and piss poor QC (quality control). I just sent a replacement HP 25xw back due to excessive backlight bleed and the panel having drastically different gamma in certain spots (actual gamma not IPS glow nor viewing angle...

    Cyborg mmo7 action lock

If you turn them off via the firmware you can download at their site, you can then use the programming software to tell it you want the action lock button on M! to be "A", "F1", or any other key. The same goes for the action lock button on M2. When it's set up like that, it's just like...

    Updated 4:4:4 Chroma list for 2013 TV's

I was under the impression games used 4:2:2 like video sources do given that most TVs are usually 4:2:2 and that some TVs just happen to do 4:4:4 as a result of the hardware the manufacturer used (typically the main board that the video inputs are on). It wouldn't make sense to design consoles...

    Updated 4:4:4 Chroma list for 2013 TV's

You will likely need to adjust ClearType in Windows as well. I don't know what Dell you have so the pixel layout arrangement/layout could be different than it is on the TV which will hurt text clarity. There is also the issue of pixel density being far lower on a larger screen with the same...

ASUS/BENQ LightBoost owners!! Zero motion blur setting!

Now if they would just add scanning backlights to VA and IPS panels and make this type of stuff work at lower refresh rates for the mid/low end systems. Congratulations on getting an easy toggle/install system going. Surely Nvidia will start working on ways to offer additional models with...

LCD Televisions with 4:4:4 Subsampling and low Input Lag.

I'm betting that's a typo. It's most likely supposed to read 1080p on HDMI and, 1080i on component (y/pb/pr). A majority of TVs will only do 1080i or less over component (y/pb/pr) and I've yet to see one that doesn't do 1080p on HDMI (unless it's an actual 720p/i or "1080i" panel).

Is there any 23" better than the Asus VG23AH right now or in the near future?

They would be visible at all times if they are something your vision can detect. They are the result of the 3D overlay/emitter/etc that is on the panel. It's something that is physically there. It's not an optical illusion/digital artifact/etc.

LCD Televisions with 4:4:4 Subsampling and low Input Lag.

That's correct, and I have edited my post to reflect that. I'm sorry for any confusion the lack of clarity caused anyone. I was referring to my experience with the Dynex DX-32L230A12 set as I purchased two that both had defects. One was from in the store (which had a tear in the panel) and...

LCD Televisions with 4:4:4 Subsampling and low Input Lag.

Yea, I know that feeling especially when the in-store lighting masks what you are trying to show: "Well I don't see the issue but, we'll take it back." "Well, if you didn't have the power of a thousand suns shining down upon us you would be able to . . ." It's always much worse if it's...

LCD Televisions with 4:4:4 Subsampling and low Input Lag.

When I read PCDC650's description, my initial thought was it was going to be the "viewing cone" that VA panels have. However, after looking at the picture and seeing the middle is "brighter" than the rest of the screen I would say it's a defect as the "viewing cone" would make the middle darker...

It was no problem. Glad you got it sorted out.

LCD Televisions with 4:4:4 Subsampling and low Input Lag.

Yes, that was the post I was referring to. If you are passing the 4:4:4 tests, then the EDID override was done correctly. The only way for any of us to verify that is to see pictures of the test images taken with a camera set to macro. I have a post about the tests and how to view then in...

LCD Televisions with 4:4:4 Subsampling and low Input Lag.

Does it really only have a contrast ratio of 532:1? That's really low. I couldn't tell from the screen capture if you have done the EDID override or not which is required for Nvidia cards. If you haven't, there are detailed instructions in this thread. Just do a search for it and my user name.
