    Integer scaling, anybody tried it?

That integer app from steam does the same thing as integer scaling from nvidia, afaik. Same result anyway. Not blurry, much better than regular scaling, but not identical to a native panel at the same diagonal (though the difference is not that big, as i've said). Integer scaling is a good thing...

    Integer scaling, anybody tried it?

I've had a side by side comparison between a native 720p LCD TV and a native 1440p LCD pc monitor, both at 32" diagonal. Tested a couple of games, both 2d and 3d. For 2d, i've tested Braid, an old 2d game that is 720p fixed resolution. It looked a bit better on the native 720p panel TV. With...

How do you deal with preventing burn in on OLEDS if you game a couple of hours? Many games have fixed HUD elements...

    Rift S

Which of the two (quest, rift s) has the least amount of god rays and bigger sweet spot? My only experience with VR was with a Lenovo WMR and it was horrible.

<=55" 4k TV for pc games, playing in 1080p@120hz (with the help from nvidia's integer scaling)?

Oh... Didn't thought about that! So what you're saying is i can only use 1080p@120Hz if i let the TV do the scaling (since the GPU will send 1080p signal), and that's not an option because tv scaling sucks. Bummer. Thanks so much for the clarification! So that only leaves me with the option of...

<=55" 4k TV for pc games, playing in 1080p@120hz (with the help from nvidia's integer scaling)?

Looking for a cheap native 4K TV that i can game on at 1080p resolution with 120 Hz refresh rate and acceptable input lag. Will use the new integer scaling option in nvidia's panel, so the image won't be blurry (in theory, haven't tried it). VRR/freesync is not a requirement because those...

    31.5" 2560x1440 165 Hz VA G-Sync - LG 32GK850G

How's the 650F below 48 Hz? I've read that's the bottom limit for freesync on this one. On the 850F, i think it's 40 Hz. I understand both support LFC for freesync, does it work without issues?

    31.5" 2560x1440 165 Hz VA G-Sync - LG 32GK850G

How does 1080p content look on this monitor? How good or bad is the upscaling? Some older games or indie 2d games don't support higher than 1080p resolution.

    31.5" 2560x1440 165 Hz VA G-Sync - LG 32GK850G

Good news today, nvidia just announced they will enable gsync on all adaptive sync monitors through a driver update coming january 15. RIP gsync hardware, long live gsync/freesync/VRR. I was expecting this to happen eventually, but not so soon.

    Show Your LCD(s) setups!!!

A bit offtopic, but isn't this "good enough" only if you can keep a stable 144 fps? The lower the fps drops below the default Hz limit, the worse tearing and stutter will get, afaik, without any gsync or freesync tech. At least that's my experience with a regular 60 hz lcd: i need to keep my fps...

    31.5" 2560x1440 165 Hz VA G-Sync - LG 32GK850G

How warm does it normally run? Does the gsync hardware/chip or any other parts get hot? I've read mixed opinions on this. I have no ac in the summertime and it will be on use almost 14 hours per day on avg.

    31.5" 2560x1440 165 Hz VA G-Sync - LG 32GK850G

Yes, but also newer games don't look like quake 1 anymore, do they? There will always be new stuff, graphic wise, to bring even the most powerful cards to their knees. A recent example is the new hybrid ray tracing tech nvidia is touting about. In 5 years there will be something else and so on...

    31.5" 2560x1440 165 Hz VA G-Sync - LG 32GK850G

Not sure if this is newsflash or not, and i could be wrong, but i'm pretty sure almost everyone who reads this thread "does gaming", since the object of discussion is a high refresh, g-sync enabled monitor that's marketed as gamer oriented by its manufacturer. Also, good luck sustaining 240 fps...

    31.5" 2560x1440 165 Hz VA G-Sync - LG 32GK850G

A bit offtopic, but if the game doesn't work with Steam's overlay, one way to make it work with the steam controller is to use a third party program called GloSC.

    31.5" 2560x1440 165 Hz VA G-Sync - LG 32GK850G

This would really annoy me, i would imagine. Is this a common problem that cannot be fixed by fw upgrade or video cable replacement? It would be a shame if i would have to return the monitor just because of this. Another con i've read about is that the back led color wheel doesn't turn off when...
