The AMD live webcast from Computex 2016 is about to start any time (10pm EST). The event is slated to feature presentations from AMD executives including AMD President and CEO Lisa Su; Senior Vice President and General Manager, Computing and Graphics Business Group, Jim Anderson; and Senior Vice President and Chief Architect, Radeon Technologies Group, Raja Koduri.

I haven't watched a live stream in a long time.

Let's see if the hype...matches the hype haha.

Raja keeps emphasizing everyone, a wide base (100M VR, 250M PC gamers), and talking about affordability ($100-$300 range).

You can see through the fan on the 480 as well. Looks like a shorter PCB than the cooler would suggest.

Edit:
You can see the end of the PCB here.

$199?? I don't know if I should be excited or scared shitless for my shares of AMD.

WOW BF1 DX12and MUTIGPU SUPPORT.

I gotta admit....Thats fucking great news!

"You don't need a $700 graphics card to enjoy Doom"

...Because it runs at 60 FPS on a $300 console.

Oh gawd Ashes of the Singulairty benchmarks now.

The hype died down quickly once he gleefully referenced AoTS :p

hai guys 2 of these in xfire is just a bit better than one 1080 in ashes of the singularity.

They're claiming in Sins of Sigularity Direct X 12 that they beat the Nvidia 1080 with 2x R480 and there's untapped potential.

I can believe this... but I wonder by how much the 1080 spanks a single R480 in everything NOT direct X 12 and by how much?

I'm currently at work, so I'm unable to stream this. Any news on something better than the 480. Also any news on performance or specs yet.

I will wait to see benchmarks and some overclocking results.

But I mean if its as fast as 390x/fury Speeds for $199 It really is a good deal. I have to admit as of late AMD has been keeping up new games with Xfire. And XDMA Xfire is the way to go.

Well played AMD.

I'm interested, but not won over yet. I'll see what the coming weeks brings. The $199 is very appealing, but I need to know the exact performance before I draw up any conclusions.

Can't wait for more Polaris info. Will probably pick one up, and then transfer it to the guest rig once Vega congress out!

Chances are its about 10-20% slower than a 1070.

Ugh, crossfire is in a sad state right now along with SLI. You guys have fun with that.

$199 and 150W. Sounds like it's going to thrash the 1070 if nVidia doesn't drop prices.
