+90C Furmark Temps on Gigabyte OC GTX 670 at Stock Speeds

Title pretty much says it all. I'm having to stop the burnin using furmark 1.10.0 because my Gigabyte OC 2GB GTX 670 temps are going over 90C. I'm wondering if I have a bad card... The ventilation in my case is good (silverstone ft02).

The fan was set to auto, I guess I could ping it to 100% and see what happens, but it already sounded like a jet engine during the furmark test. I don't know how some people can think this card is quiet...

Corsair Obsidian 550D Case

There is a review of the Corsair Obsidian 550D (http://hardocp.com/news/2012/05/16/corsair_obsidian_550d_case) posted at Vortez this morning that is definitely worth checking out.

---Quote---
As with other cases in the series, the 550D adopts a minimalist approach to case design, pushing for flair and elegance. The 550D focuses on providing users with sound isolation via noise damping and closed off panels, so if you are seeking a computer chassis with professional looks and silence in mind, the 550D could be ideal.

Universal retractable cable management solution?

without going into great detail to explain the situation, basically what i am looking for is a retractable pully that i can attach whatever cables i want. i basically have hdmi+component+svideo cables all tied into a nice sleeve to minimize cable clutter. these cables connect to wall plate on the ceiling and i would like to be able to reach up and grab them, pull them down (attached to retractable cable) and plug them in. once i am done with the equipment i want to be able to unplug them and let go allowing the cables to be pulled up out of the way.

can't seem to google the correct words to find what i am looking for. anyone else done this?

Anyone know a way to control speaker volume through an external device? I'd like it to work regardless of what OS I'm using and even if the processor is maxed out, so I think only a hardware-based solution is an option?

Will probably be getting a Klipsch 2.1 setup soon where the volume knobs are not conveniently reachable, so I need something else to control the volume. I think the audio path would be motherboard line out->volume controller->speakers? Is this the best way to handle this noise-wise and is it even possible using the line out?

Thanks!

Just looking for some opinions on it. I have a GTX 260 that even with the cooler at 100% speed reaches the high 80's for temp. Figure a new cooler is in order since an RMA isn't looking promising (it's BFG).

Under-voltage on the 5v rail.

So my computer stopped recognizing/reading my hard drives reliably and became unusable recently. At first I thought it was the HDDs/SATA controllers. But after testing the connectors on my PSU with a multimeter I found that while connected to the motherboard the PSU is outputting < 4.4v on the 5v wires. However if doing a paperclip test with just one hard drive connected I get 4.9v. The BIOS reports even less voltage than this. The other rails are fine.

I think this is the problem, but before I buy a new PSU, is there any possibility the PSU is not at fault? Is there any way the motherboard could be causing a healthy unit to output less voltage? Or is this a cut & dry faulty power supply unit?

Thanks.

This is a PC P&C Silencer 750w PSU, and an Asus P5B Deluxe motherboard by the way. The actual system uses not nearly that capacity.
