Ok, i have the system in the sig,
and my 3500+ (vinece) will not go over 2.5ish stable
ive tried different multipliers 11x/10/9x and i cannot even get 2.4 at 11x...10x seem to be working the best (2.5), but i can pust 1.6v into it and it wont stay stable any higher then 2.5...(with the memory dropped on a low multiplier)

im not that great at over clocking, so any advice is a plus :D

yeah, thats exactly the problem. HTT NEEDS to be at 3x/4x. the HTT link frequency (FSB*HTT Multi) needs to be under 1000.

im also having a similar problem with my 3500+ is your 120 nm or 90nm? mine is 120nm. The highest I reached was 10x and FBS 245 (2450mhz). My ram is at 333 mhz and Vcore set to 1.6 and HTT 4x. I can boot into windows at 2.5 ghz but i get a blue screen quickly. I had hoped for more since im watercooling.

It could just very well be its max. My SD 3700+ wont hit 2.4 stable.

Yeah, maybe ikurox is in the same boat as me. my s754 venice wont go over 2.4ghz. Maybe these later week chips just are speed binned more closely to their rated speed. suck for us....
