AK Rally Gaming Chair...?

I see that Best Buy is selling these gaming chairs www.ak.com/rally.html for $100. I'm wondering if there any better than their previous AK Rocker chairs? Being a big guy 250lbs, I don't want the damn thing to break on me. Unfortunately AK's web site is sparse on information too.

don't know about that one, but the AK Rocker they sell fits someone as big as me in it comfortably (we have two). http://www.ak.com/100series1.html

Pretty damn spanky for the money... the beanbag looking ones look pretty crappy after a little use (look at the ones on display at Best Buy in the gaming areas)

They're pretty comfty - more cushioning than the Rocker series, obviously.

It all depends on how much you move around when you're gaming. The back support is somewhat flexible, but for the most part you're going to sit down on it, and stay in a single position. When I'm gaming, I tend to lean forward during the more frenzied moments, and then relax, so the Rocker is a more natural fit for me. I tried sitting in the Rally chair, and I find myself slouching a lil - still comfty, but not as comfty as leaning back in the Rocker.

So does the AK Rally have any plastic on the bottom of it or is it just a big cushion?

I believe it's all cushion. The sides also have slip pockets to store remotes and whatnot. The base is stable, it would take effort to slide it around if you pushed against the floor with your feet while sitting on it.

I vote for Nissan Pulsar seats, full back and head support, the most comfy seats i've ever been in a car, Not even my dodge stealth seats compare

Well I sat in a AK Rocker chair at Circuit City and liked the chair's back support but didn't like the lack of cushion on the chair. It's padding is nearly nothing at all.

True, but your ass doesn't hurt after a few hours of gaming like with most chairs in its class.
