My mom got this from work for free, I have never heard of it and was wondering if any of you guys have. I assume since its the one they use at her work it has to be pretty decent, anyways I was just hoping for some feedback...Thanks.

Not sure if that's going to be good for you. I've only seen that thing work in a very *very* large network (200pc's in one room alone). Distribution and updating is designed to be as painless as possible (Any techguys here would tell you it's b*tch to get hit by a worm when you have 400+pc's). I haven't really tried out the home version tho.

Been a while since i've seen their product tho so things may have changed by now.

Well its up and running fine on our computer...No idea about the network thing, just that they offered versions of it to all the employees, well they give you a cd you install then a specific web address to update it through...

Though not well known in the US, they are a good enterprise Antivirus.

OK, popular with schools/universities, they cater to them with high volume licensing.

We use Sophos here. The latest versions crank up memory usage compared to the old v3 stuff...this v5 stuff is ridiculous.

The "On-Access" scanner is a joke...I haven't turned it off in the Sophos setup for all of my machines but I'm seriously considering it.

I do not kid when I say it takes at least twice as long for files to come down across the network with it running...and uninstalling large programs is something you can forget about if that's running.

Other than that it's awesome. Private company, ~100 systems.
