I just upgraded my hard drive from a 120gb Hitachi IDE to a 250gb Western Digital SATA hard drive. I used Acronis TrueImage 9.0 to clone my old hard drive onto my new larger one. I it to proportionally increase partition sizes but maintain the structure of 4 partitions on the old drive. Everything went off without a hitch, I am thrilled to be working with a bigger HD and have my old partitions in tact. Except for one thing!
Windows XP Pro (SP2) will not see my F: drive which has all my music, movies, etc. I can't access any of the data AT ALL. My computer sees all partitions correctly except for this one. Partition Magic 8.0 sees all partitions, including the F: drive that Windows can't. I even tried re-assigning the drive letter (keeping it as F:) with Partition Magic, but it won't "stick." How the heck can I get access to my files?
