I just bought 2 new sata hard drives and put them on raid 0. Everyone went fine. I installed windows on them and partitioned. I installed all the windows updates and now I noticed whenever I go into regedit or paint or it seems like any exe and try to save something it gives me this error. If I go into paint and don't save anything it doesn't give me the error but if I go into it and save a file and close it. I get the error although the file still saves fine.

I did google it and tried clearing my page file using some registry tweak and that didn't seem to work.
My ram should be fine since I used it on my last windows install with no problem. I have 2 gb of ocz platinum so I don't think thats the problem.

I just tried saving a file with notepad and I get the error but when I save something with wordpad I don't get any error. Very strange.

I have seen this issue before and it was an issue with the RAM. I would download MEMTest86 and run it. Let it go three passes. Also, check the event logs in Computer management to see if there are any other errors occuring. Did you install the chipset drivers? The track record with OCZ where I work is not good, over 70% came back bad which is why we no longer sell them.

Yeah I did install the chipset drivers. I have an Asus K8V Se Deluxe.
I wonder if the problem is that I still have my old windows install on the other ide drive. I just have it set not to boot to it. The raid set is the top of the boot priority and I have been switching back and forth so I can boot into my old windows install to pull some backup registry things for some programs. And when I do boot into my old windows install and save a file I don't get that error only on the new install.

I will try memtest and if it is bad ram, ocz has a lifetime warranty so that should be easy to fix.

Just got back from work and left memtest running and it did at least 7 passes I think it it said and no errors at all.

I am not really sure what else to do besides reformat and install windows yet again.

Make sure your sata cables are away from everything as their unshielded, other than that this might be unrelated to your hard drive, try downloading prime95. If that gives you an error it's definitely cpu/memory related.

I think i solved the problem.
I partitioned the raid 0 array with partition magic and that was causing problems. I reformated and made no other partitions and every seems to working fine so far. Thanks anyway for your guys help.
