I rebooted my computer when HDD was active..

ever since supid window xp is scan disking every time turn my computer on..

i could skip it by pressing ENTER button but it is seriously getting annoying..

my disk is fine with no bad sector..i don't know why it is keep "rescheduling" scan disk..

any way to prevent this?

Just let it finish.

Even if I let finish it still does it after the reboot..that's the problem

Try here (http://www.microsoft.com/resources/documentation/windows/xp/all/proddocs/en-us/fsutil_dirty.mspx) for more info on the "dirty" bit (no, not THAT dirty bit). There are two or three methods of resolving your issue on this page. The fsutil command can be run from the command prompt.
