OK, firstly sorry if this is 'old news' or a repost or something. Im fairly new to WoW, plus i did a quick forums search and couldnt find a thread on this, so go easy on me ;).

Ok, today i wanted to encode some video while playing games to save time (ahhh, i love this dual core cpu ;)) so i figured the best way would be to assign the encoding to one core, and the game ot another. So i started the encode fine and set it to core 1, then load up WoW to set that to core 0, after trying i find out that WoW doesnt let you set affinity, so i was stuck with that.

However, i run X64, and i glanced at the process name while i was doing this, and i see WoW.exe, then i looked for the *32 following it (to denote a 32bit program) and much to my suprise, it wasnt there. Acording to my task manager, WoW was running in 64bit mode. Now ive never ever heard anything about WoW supporting or running in 64bit mode, and upon bringing it up with a friend, he hadnt either. Seen as WoW is a big game and hardware sites/forums (such as these) normally pick up on 64bit games pretty quickly, i was very suprised to not have heard anything about this. So whats the story, has WoW always been a 64bit game? Did they add 64bit in an earlier patch, is my task manager just being dumb, something else? ;)

Wow, I never heard anything about a 64 bit WoW. I was under the impression it was 32 bit as well.

Hey-zues you have a lot of programs running. I'm sure you've checked the wow forums right?
