Ok, I have 2 Western Digital 80 gig 7200 rpm hdd's and I think one of them may be going down, but I don't know which one. So, I went to Western Digitals web site and downloaded the latest data lifegaurd tools and booted up with the floppy I made from it and I can't find and hdd checker anymore. What's up with that?
Does anyone know if they still include that any longer?
Also, what program can I use to check these hdd's out with?
Question number two...how do you turn on S.M.A.R.T. for a hd? I thought I could do it in the bios (or other motherboards I have/had you could), but I can't find anywhere in this bios to do it. I have a Gigabyte K8NSNXP-939.
Thanks!
