Noise on 74gig raptor?

I currently have 2 36gig raptors in raid and the whine off these is something I've not heard in a while from something inside my case. I wanna cut the noise levels of my PC and the main offenders seem to be the stock bfg 7800gt fan and the raptors so I was wondering if the whine is anywhere near as bad on the 74gig version? I had heard some where that it wasnt but not sure where....

The 73GB Raptors have significantly quieter motor bearings. The WD740GD is essentially inaudible when installed in a case at idle. Of course, you still get the deep SCSI like rumble from the seeks.
