I am looking for something that is "The Raptor" of External Drives....

I recently purchased a Lacie 250GB USB 2.0 External Drive, and its nice, but I was still looking for something quicker.

Is their any 10K RPM External Drives? Any External Drives that are already pre Raid 0?

Thanks

Scsi, I guess - you can put a u320 drive in an external enclosure with no problems as far as I know. Capacities only as large as 300gb, though, and those are really expensive.

Check out eSATA - a protocol for attaching SATA drives over a natvie SATA connection directly to the SATA host in the system. If you are looking for top flight throughput from an external disk, that's the onyl solution that is anywhere near cost effective. You may also consider 2gbps Fibre Channel though...
