So I have some more problems on my friends computer. It seems that you can delete stuff (before you couldn't for some reason), but it will not go into the recycle bin. It deletes outright. I've checked out the registry entry for Instant nuke or nuke file on delete or something like that and it was not activated. I'm not too sure what the problem is or what it could be. Any Ideas?

Right click Recycle Bin, go to Properties. There should be a check where it says "Do not move files to the Recycle Bin. Remove files immediately when deleted." Uncheck it.

First thing that came to mind. Can you verify that you aren't deleting files that are on a network share?

If they are I believe it will never show up in the Trash.

^ correct. If you delete a file over the network it won't put it in the recycle bin of either computer.

No, from the actual computer, I can't send files to the recycle bin. I'm not trying this from over a network.
Just to verify, what's a network share?

If you have two computers and you access files from computer A that reside on computer B. Computer B would have a directory shared which = network share.

Do you have something like Norton system works or some other program installed that monitors/controls the recycle bin?
