Anyone having probs with MS Oct. updates? [Archive]

My first MS Winxp Pro update October 12 morning had 10 updates. After that finished had two more for a total of 12. Then updated my gamer system in the evening with 9 total. It appeared the updates changed throughout the day (possibly corrections???). Noticed that my Ad-Aware SE program was deleted on my work computer at some time during the update process in the morning??? Anyone experienced these types or any other problems with the update process?

not problems here, and adware se stayed right where it should be

Maybe your work computer had Adaware deleted on purpose? Our software delivery script removes that and Spybot, because we don't have licenses for them....and our new SAV10 does a pretty good job of removing malware.

Should have been more clear. My work computer is a home based computer I keep and do all my home applications on so my Gamer is free of software. My actual work (business located computer) is all updated etc by company ITT. Sorry for confusion.

I had to run the update twice, but none of my software got deleted.
