How do I duel boot windows vista? I have 2 hard drives. Should I install windows vista on the 2nd hard drive with no OS? Will I beable to do this? I dont wanna go to far into the install to not see this step and go to the step when it starts overwriting Windows XP Pro.

Just insert the Vista Disk in the drive within XP. Follow directions, it will automatically setup the boot menu 4 ya.

The loader will handle all of the work. It's not necessary to install it on a seperate drive, but a seperate partition is HIGHLY recommended. Just make sure XP is installed first, and make sure you've got a good backup. Remember this IS beta, and it could trash your xp install (although it didn't for me, and yes I have a legal copy).

i'm sorry, but reading this just makes me think of windows xp and windows vista standing in a open field, one takes off their glove, slaps the other in the face...

WXP "this is an OUTRAGE"
Vista "en guarde"

.....

on the topic note, if you are afraid of overwriting something, best not to do it at all.

At one time, I saw a picture of something similiar....that someone made up to poke fun at all the people who confuse duel with dual. I think it was a "dual processor duel".
