fUnc 1030, end of thread

There are other good mousepads out there, but the 1030 is great and it comes at a very reasonable price.

Func 1030 is a good value but it's far from the best surface.

I currently own a icemat and an eXactmat but I'm not sure which is better.

fUnc is alright - it'll wear out, too, though. All plastic pads will *eventually*.

Icemat for teh win!

Steel Pad S&S for a bad ass plastic pad, comes with a cloth case to carry it and a set of general pad surfers. use teflon tape or the pads becuase it will eat your mouse feet alive and wear out the pad. other then that i love it.

Steel Pad QcK++ for a big ass smooth cloth pad and it's thiner then the big ass mouse pads you get at fry's, compusa, officemax etc. no telfon feet needed.

Banshee Pad awesome metal pad and you can order it in different colors and a custom name or saying engraved on it. I was about to order one till i orderd the above 2... other then weird shape, i wish the top of it extruded out instead of in. but its large and a cool item. I am still considering order one for the look =D

i can still cancel my order thou. on newegg the func pads are 21 + tax. so no point in canceling the XOxide order.

i really like the banshe pad, but 40 bucks! i bought my mouse for that much lol.

Best value gaming mats:
http://svc.com/pct-mouse100.html Price: $4.99 (Just recently they came back in stock, which is great!)
http://svc.com/pct-mouse70.html Price: $3.99

These pads are old-school Everglides (directly comparable to the Ratpadz) rebadged as PCToys (with flames.. ooooo) for cheap! I just picked up one of each type since my old one bent (after 9months of use) and when I tried to bend it back it cracked - my fault for using it on a curved surface and not heating it up when trying to bend it back. I tested with the full range of MS Optical mice and the MX1000 - they all tracked perfectly so I don't think anyone would have any issues with tracking, these are very accurate.

While you're there, pick up some more stuff from their clearance (http://svc.com/clearance.html) section and cut down on the shipping costs - rounded cables, CCFL's, etc for really cheap.

A mousepad thread should be stickied; seems this question gets asked weekly ;)

That said, I have to say the 3M Precision Mousing Surface. So slick and smooth, especially if you spray it down with a silicone based spray like Armor All every couple weeks. Your mouse seems to practically float on the surface of the pad.

Only downside is how light it is -- it tends to move around a bit on the desk. I fixed that by picking up a package of FunTack and putting a pea-sized bit at each corner.

Here's an Idea, I stole my current mouse pad from the previous Honda dealership that I used to sell cars at. Go for a test drive in the new Civic, and when the salesman is not looking while at his desk ...**Yank!** and run off with the mousepad in your hands while gigling like a little girl.

Honda mouse pads ROXXORS!!! :)

I'm surprised no one mentioned this earlier. The best surface you can get is a CS Hyde surface. It lasts for a LONG time, barely ever gets worn, and is EXTREMELY slick (as long as you use it with their teflon mouse feet).

ratpad GS wears out QUICK, imho, at least mine did. The bumps on the surface, which have the effect of minimizing the contact with the mouse feet get wide and sticky when they wear down, and it feels like you're dragging your mouse through glue.

I used to use the 3m surface, back when I was using ball mice instead of optical, only complaint there was that they never made them big enough.

Looking for a new one now, but don't want to deal with the fedex hassle for just a mousepad. Need to find a func or icemat locally.

ordered sunday night and got the mousepad tuesday morning. i like it and i think its pretty cool and good quality. i was just wondering do i need to use teflon tape on my mouse? like for example the teflon tape they sell at bestbuy from BFG for 10 bux?
