Hey guys,

It seems as though after patching to 1.03, when I try to join an Internet Server, my game simply crashes to the desktop. Frustrated, I resorted to EA's Tech Support (only to find a bag of potatoes in it's place) which then in-turn told me to re-enter my CD Key using their Battlefield 2_Code program under /EA GAMES/Battlefield 2/Support, which supposedly re-enters your "valid" CD Key in the registry (I could've done this myself, but I thought the need to use faulty program far superior). Now, whenever I try to join an Internet Game, it simply displays "Your CD-Key is invalid".

I must also note, that when installing the 1.03 patch, at the end of the install, it gives me a Window's Error Report window saying that "BF2CDKeyChange.exe" has caused an error. Any ideas?

I have a valid, purchased DVD version of BF2. Any help is appreciated. :(

Thanks!

EDIT: Just read the Inquirer article here (http://www.theinquirer.net/?article=26725). However, any other ideas are still welcome.

Well I would uninstall BF2CDKeyChange.exe I think, and root it out of the registry maybe, and then try again. Something like that.

It's part of the patch. I wouldn't use a program like that to change a CD Key anyway, I'd do it by hand.
