Just got my backup rig together, and it runs BF2 pretty smooth. But I am thinking about going 4x512Mb. I know my a64 rig does but will it affect the Intel performance?
Specs in sig.

Nope, not as far as I've ever heard.

Yes you will see a 3-5% loss in performance, you will run without PAT and at 2T timings, nor will you be able to OC as well as if you had just 2 X 512. It will also require you to up the ddr ref voltage up from what ever you are at now to say 2.75 or 2.85 to remain stable, which may or may not be enough to maintain your OC.

Yeah I figured as much. The rig is still a beast, dual core and 2gb ram, I think I wont have to worry about a 3% hit ;)
