This is an HP machine. We have multiple PC's all of the same model. The only differences are the addition of 512MB PC3200 Simpletech memory and a DVI output video card. We installed drivers provided by HP for the card though. I'm leaning towards the memory as a possible problem. Are there any known conflicts with Samsung(the type of memory originally installed) and Simpletech memory.

Download and run Memtest86.
You can put it onto either a floppy or a bootable CD.
Its self loading so no other OS is needed.

Just do around 3 loops.
The only good result is zero errors.
If any errors then test each stick by itself.
If each stick tests good then try the sticks in a different order as sometimes that works.

Luck....... :D

This has happened on another machine. It looks like the onboard video driver is conflicting with the installed video card. The easiest thing to do is uninstall the driver for onboard video since I don't have the option to disable it.
