I was starting my new OC on my FX55 computer, so I first started to see what the highest FSB I can do on the A8N-SLI DLX, so I put the mem divider @ 200 (1:2 I think) put the CPU multi @ 7x, set all voltages (ddr/cpu/nforce) put the HTT to 3x, and then started to OC. I set the FSB to 220, and booted to windoze, CPU was @ 1540MHz, restarted, booted back into BIOS, set the FSB to 250, and TRY to boot windoze, and then a BSOD  . I reset the PC, booted back into BIOS, checked everything, tryed to boot again, and now I get a "windows is corrupt, and is missing a file" ERROR  . This is all on a fresh FORMAT! So I booted back into the BIOS set everything to FACTORY spec, and rebooted, and the same damn issue :( . Looks like I have to format again. Im glad this is my backup PC, and now I know why I'm glad I bought my MSI NEO4 PLAT SLI for my main PC, cause this asus board SUCKS. CANT OC FOR CRAP. I even flashed to the NEWEST BIOS before I did all this. Ol-well, looks like tomorrow I'll have something to do.

uh.. good luck?
overclocking takes alot time...
took me a month to be COMpletly happy with everything in my rig (stable and max that is)
and during that time i had to reformat 4 times..
thx god there was a quick format option for harddrives...
sitting through a 300gigger is not fun

So let me get this right. You went right to 220FSB right off the bat, then without a hint of testing, rebooted and went right to 250? And honestly, you really wonder why it screwed up?
Overclocking takes time to get working at 100%, its not a 5 minute job, like it or leave it. Im not suprised in the least you had problems trying that.

GUYS, this is not my first OC. I have an FX55/FX57 on phase cooling in my other rig. I just built a "FUN" pc using my FX55, and my (sitting in the closet) ASUS A8N-SLI DLX mobo, 2x1gb sticks of Patriot ram, and dicided to see what the max my ASUS board would top out at, comparing to the MSI NEO4 PLAT SLI. And the MSI wins HANDS DOWN.

Sorry to hear that. I got to 375htt stable and that was with a 3x ldt. I never even bothered trying higher htt with 2x

What is the highest speed that you have managed on those 1 GB dimms? Patriot is pretty great, so I bet they have good performance, high density sticks.

given the amount of cash and time I've seen you putting into overclocking, might I suggest a new motherboard?
Though both of the boards you have are pretty decent, if you are looking for the best (to produce the best numbers of course), I would buy a DFI nf4 board (SLI-DR, or UT depending on your SLI needs).
This board is the one to own, offering great ram tweaks, tons of features, the best bios support/bios releases, and of course, that little extra bit of headroom that other boards just don't seem to have. Honestly, if you want to have to most fun overclocking, the DFI board wins hands down.
There are also many ease of use features, such as 4 different cmos/bios banks to save in with bootable hotkeys, ability to POST via cmos bypass jumper without clearing the cmos/bios, onboard power/reset buttons, bootable memtest built into the bios, variable speed fan control based on different temp sensors (NB/CPU/ETC).
Though some may say your current boards are fine, I say, if you can afford another one, it is worth the money. Hell, you could even sell one of the other boards and make a straight exchange for little money.
