Question about the X-Fi Fatal1ty

The X-Fi fatal1ty has the standard PCI sound card, but also a front module.

Now, how will this front module connect? Will it connect directly to the soundcard itself, or to the motherboard with the same type of cable that is used to connect CD drives, etc?

there is a ribbon cable that goes from the card to the front panel
