I have just spent about 5 hours of hell getting my raid array working when i discovered that my XP pro SP slipstream would not let me install the RAID driver off the floppy, so i in turn have been kept to using dells home CD that was provided with my PC. I got windows installed ok but the PC will not boot without the windows CD in the drive.
I've had this happen before when i damaged the bootloader but this is a fresh installation and its happened to me twice already. it goes past my raid bios then says no boot device available, but if i have the XP cd in itll say press any key to boot from cd, which i dont press, then it enters XP.
any help would be greatly appreciated
