Ok, The problems began this afternoon around 3:30PM when my dad tells me that he was working on a word document and trying to apply a mail merge to it (he is a lawyer and it saves him a shitload of time with his pleadings.) He had edited the mailmerge and when he pushed apply to save the changes (or something like that) He got an error box (the one with the red circle and the X in it.). He doesn't really remember what it said he just pushed OK (:tard:, I know but this needs to be fixed). Now, the database file that the mail merge is connected to seems to be locked? Whenever I try loading the mailmerge everything works fine except the edit button is unusable!

my question is, is there a way to that I can unlock this file (as it needs to be unlocked) so he can edit it again?
