NFSU:2 is making me angry

I just got the game, since im in a whole racing phase out of nowhere, and i loved the game.(except that i have to make the cars look overexagerated and retarded sometimes). Anyway... Today it just wouldnt work. It would go into the menu where you pick career, quick race, option, etc. And then it would just freeze. Fraps would show 0 fps. Every couple seconds, the sound stutters, and the screen might sligtly change, although I cant control anything. One time i moved really fast throuh the menu and got to career. After loading, i was frozen in one spot with my car with the same problem. I saw artifacting all over the building in front of me, and with the trees in the background. I tried the nfsu 1 demo, and it worked without a hitch. Sometimes the screen goes a solid olive green or blak as well

have you installed any new forceware drivers lately? that is probably the reason. roll back a few forceware


O yah. and do anyone know if nvidia fixed the crappy performance for NFSU:2 yet?

Sounds like overheating or screwed drivers.Try rolling back any new drivers you installed and make sure the temps are good.Also does it artifact or freeze on any other games, or anytime for that matter?

No i had the same problem and even posted it here but no one said anything :mad: It happens with the new official drivers but the newest beta ones dont have the problem (for me at least)

ok im downloading the newest drivers right now. I might not have time to check if it works now, since im leaving today for vacation for a week. Sorry about the cursing in the title.
