View Full Version : Anyone know how to make an "n" with that squiggly-line above it?

Like the "n" in "Señorita." Think hispanic. I know it has something to do with holding the "Alt" key and typing in a certain number combo on the keypad, but I don't know what number.

In word you can do this.

Press and hold ctrl-shift
Press the ~ key and then quickly press N

alt-164 for ñ
alt-165 for Ñ
alt-173 for ¡

Or you can use spanish language support and make all accect marks and other punctionation after you learn the keys.

The squiggily line is called a tilde. Just so you know. ;)

Everytime I need to make a special letter like that, I just Google for "ALT Characters" to find a chart.

Seriously, Google is your first stop. THEN comes the [H].

Ah, hitting windows sign + "R" then typing charmap is easier.
