I wasnt sure where to post this, so move it to the right place if you need to :)

i know the primary use of these cobalt boxes is a web server, but would it be possible to configure it into a file server of some sort? I am in need of SOMETHING, and these boxes are just too damn cheap to pass up if it will work

Ask at www.webhostingtalk.com

They have (had?) and entire section devoted to raqs.

My roomate has 2 RaQs in our rack downstairs, both running some variant of NetBSD and Samba. They work great as file servers.
