Here's an article and PDF that everyone should check out about LCD burn-in:

This article is a little bit misleading...Even if there is a permanent ghost image on an LCD, there is nothing to burn in. CRT burn-in affects the phosphors....but an LCD is basically a bunch of shutters with a light bulb behind it. The same bulb lights up every pixel behind the shutters, and all it does is shine light no matter what is displayed. When an afterimage occurs on an LCD, it can only be because the shutters get used to the position they are in and and don't quite reset or return to another state completely. But this subsides after a few days at the most. If you see a permanent ghost image on an LCD, thats more related to stuck pixels than burn-in.
i have heard from a few people who have experienced this, but tends to be with older models, this one which im thinking of was with a Samsung 181T. It wasnt permanent, and a bit of fast gmaing helped clear it up, but it CAN happen and you can get some ghost image left on the screen temporarily if you leave it on the same image for extended amounts of time. Obviously it's quite rare, but it can happen

My friend has a 181T and i've seen it happen to his too. His screensaver is set to run for 20 mins before the monitor shuts off and its white scrolling text on a white background. He says this helps combat it as the white screen makes the burn in go away somehow.

I would think that dead/stuck pixel fixer for psp would work to exercise the pixels to get them moving again, wouldn't it?

Wow, this model must be prone to developing it because the first time I ever experienced LCD burn-in was also with a 181T! It started around 8 months after purchasing it and got progressively worse until it became permanent. Eventually, I had to send it in for replacement.

I just dug up this thread:

Seems like image burn-in was a widespread problem with the 181T (I went through hell with that monitor! ).
