OK, one of my XP systems has it the other doesn't. I have no idea why. I'll copy it off the system that has it and place it on the one that doesn't and register it. Thanks.

Well, actually I uninstalled a program several months back that shit canned my mscomctl.ocx on my main rig. I ran a registry cleaning program immediately after that showed registry entries pointing to the missing file. I never had that error until I unistalled this program so I assumed the program did it. What's weird is event viewer didn't have any Windows File Protection errors showing it was deleted.
So flash foward to today and as I was doing maintenance on my other rig I recalled the missing mscomctl.ocx deal. So being anal I looked in the system32 folder on that rig just to check and it was there and I noticed it had a mscomct2.ocx file also and I didn't recall seeing that file on my main rig. I opened the system32 folder on my main rig and saw it didn't have it.
No big deal i'll just do what I mentioned above. I just wanted to make sure it was a stock Windows file that's installed by default.
