does anyone know how to modify it?

really, all i want to do is make it bigger.. however, changing the resolution is not how i want to do it.. if there was a such thing as a resume script, i would think about it. . however there are only logon/logoff and startup/shutdown scripts...

so.. who knows how to "hack" the welcome screen?

thanks

scott

You can always replace the logonui.exe file in the Recovery Console to use a different welcome screen. However, your not very clear with what you actually want to do.

what can i do with the logonui.exe file? is it like the old win9x trick of modifying the pcitures in explorer.exe ? with a program called.. hmm.. i will have to think about that one.. got it: Renovater...

i basically want to make the icons and words twice as big, if not more.. basically i want it set to 1600x1200... but my grandma needs to be able to see her username and click it.. then her profile will load to 800x600.. i can't keep the login screen at taht though.. because when i resume a session.. not log in, i want 1600x1200.. i want to be able to just keep all my shi trunnign in the background.... and let my gradnma play solitaire without interrupting it..

Sorry, I meant you can download custom welcome screens, in the forum of logonui.exe files. Then you go into the recovery console, rename the existing one to logonui.old and place the downloaded one. It's the same principal as the uxtheme.dll hack.

Will this help?

ChameleonXP was the first editor that let any user edit his/her Welcome Screen without any real experience.
