up until recently I had dial-up :o because my mom...well, is technically uninhanced and just recently let me talk her into something better *THANK YOU GOOOOOOD*

I KNOW there are better ISPs out there and frankly I REALLY hate IE..it really pisses me off, its a peice of crap.

Ive been looking into FireFox, but I thought I might do a bit more reaserching into the idea

So what do yall say? What is the best ISP?

IE's an internet browser, independent of ISP. ;)

For ISP, it's really area dependent. Where I live, there's only two choices for broadband, Verizon DSL and Comcast cable. 20 miles away, they have Adelphia cable, Verizon, and maybe speakEasy.

I like Comcast for the 4 Mbps down, I hate them for the crappy upload (384 Kbps) and their willingness to hand over user records without even a government warrant, as documented by several news stories just a few months back.

If you're in an area that gets Verizon FIOS, then I think you might want to get that. 5/2 for $25/$30 isn't bad at all.
