HDD Storage

Actualy i'm using XP, my HDD format : NTFS. Yesterday, when i clicked on PROPERTIES of C partition, it showed 12.7GB, but the thing is when i checked all dir, files , got this

*Windows : Size = 1,45 Gb ,Size on disk = 1,35 Gb
*Documents and Setting Properties : Size = Size on disk = 3,08 Gb
*Programe Files : Size = 1,28 Gb , Size on disk = 1,30 Gb
*C_media và Ptdebug <- NotepadFile : ~4MB

Can anyone explain why the amount of usage partiton so different and how to fix this erro ? Thank in advance !

It's just hidden/system files and your swap file.

Open a command prompt and type: dir c:\ /a/s

Look at the total there and you'll see the true amount. That command shows all files on the disk in all directories.

Enable, tools, folder options, view, show hidden files from explorer.
