Firefox question

Ok, firefox is asking me to make a new profile, tho my profile is already there but says it cause because firefox is in use, or that profile is in use, i see no option to switch profiles other then profile manager, and it wont let me switch to mine.......someone help? :( :confused:

that happens when ff is being used but you dont see it. try killing it in process manager then open it back up and it shouldnt ask for anything and work like normal.

awesome thanks!! i dunno wth happened but my sister says she just checked her mail, but i found her making profiles and crap like 4 diffrent profiles, then all the sudden about 3-4 gigs of information poofed with out being in recycle bin namely my redvsblue vids, halo, and other programs, not in recycle bin, nothing in search, ah well back to winmx i go to get all of them back :(

What do Firefox profiles have to do with you losing information? Did you try searching your computer for the 'lost' stuff?

ok, i got the profile back.............but i dont know whats going on now, i lost all those videos, nothing in recyle bin............NOW......i went from haveing 36/80 gigs, to 10/80 gigs.......ummm anyone want to help me here i am running virus scan atm,........nothing comeing up so far.....AVG 7.0 and updated today......

and yes search comes up with nothing at all........

recycle bin is empty nothing is it...... i dont know wtf is going on :((

should i do a recovery thing under system in control pannel? or what? my music, pictures, video, all gone, virus scan is showing up as if its there tho but i cant seem to find the location

ok so i lost 20gigs of songs/video/pics/programs...............but curious its showing up as 3 users.........guest, me, and admid/me? wtf is that and how can i switch to me and admin/me? wont show up on the switch user, just shows gues and admin/me

ok under System Properties and unser accounts....says the following

computername/Administrator 3.93mb Local Local
computername/Guest 12.5mb Local Temp
computername/Josh Ford 52.9mb Local Local

next to those are dates last used.......it seems im under mine, and not the admin/guest, but i made it so im the admin......so i dont understand what thats doing....

The administrator account is something entirely different than a user with administrator privilages. Most people never actually use the administrator account. You should probably be logging into your account.
