Superswap 1000 or other removable???

I have a promise raid 5 controller card, and it says it works with superswap 1000's... well I have 2 of them, and want to run raid 5 with 4 drives. So I need two more...

Here is the question, can I use "OTHER" removable drive enclosures? Does it have to be the superswap? I can find removable enclosures for 1/3 the price as the promise.

As long as it has the appropriate connector (SATA or PATA) and a power connection, there shouldn't be any difference
