Norton AV or AVG or some other?

I'm having problems with NAV because its causing generic host process errors when i start up, i was wondering what are your guys opinion on AV software? Is AVG good? or is there something better?

Not to be a pain, but seriously do a forum search for posts with 'antivirus' in the title. I count over 20 threads in the last year that ask and respond to this same question.

If NAV isn't cooperating, rip it out, install AVG and be done with it.

I haven't been too impressed with nav lately.

To me, trojans are a type of virus, and nav doesn't catch to many of the malware trojans.

I think the new versions of the corp edition (10+) may do better but 9.x and below suck a fat one.
