what do you use dual monitors for? do you like watch a movie on one montiro while playing or working with the other one?

Yup that's one thing I do, the extra room is the main reason for me though

FFXI on one screen, anime on the other, or during writing, I can have word in one, and adobe in the other, or some combination of adobe, firefox, word, movie, reason, FFXI, miranda, winamp, dc++ etc.

For me and just my basic purposes, it's infinately useful if not invaluable.

I use my secondary display for things like Winamp, documentation, file managers, leaving the primary display free for the browser, IDE, Paintshop Pro (w/ the floating bars on the secondary display) and other things which require a lot of space.

I only have two 17" monitors, but effectively more desktop space than if I were to get, say, a 23" monitor, for a fraction of the price. Sure, I've got less 'real-world' desk space, but that's a small price to pay (literally) ;)
