access old registry

I've had a hard drive start failing on me. So I got a new hard drive and reinstalled Windows. However, I can still access most files on the old hard drive; I have it in an external enclosure at the moment. Is it possible for me to get some data from the registry on the old copy of Windows without having to boot into it, which it doesn't like to do?

There's some data that I really need to get.
