I came home today from school to be faced with my computer constantly restarting. I don't know how it started, my brother used it earlier. But when you turn the computer on, you see POST then it brings up this screen, telling you Windows had an error, and gives you the 3 options for Safe Mode, and Start Windows Normally. None of these options work. Safe mode it begins loading, and then just restarts, and Windows comes up with the XP screen and about half way in restarts. This just repeats.

I'm completely locked out of windows, so I cant do system recovery to a past time. I used a Windows 98 boot disk to get to prompt, and I tried to remake the master boot record. I typed in A:\> FDISK/mbr and nothing happened.

I could, in theory *haven't tried* reformat, but I really don't want too. So is there anything else I can do? Did I do mbr wrong?

Any help would be fantastic. Thanks.

If you're seeing the menu, then your MBR is fine. However, your Windows install is hosed. Boot from the XP CD and choose recovery, hopefully it will fix things.
