I am trying to install a software. The instruction says I need to "add the following directory to your system PATH environment variable".
<matlabroot>\bin\win32
<matlabroot> refers to the complete path where the software in installed.
How do I add it? Thank you.

What OS are you currently running?
If WinXP
My Computer >right_click> Properites > Advanced > Enviromental Variables
Path is one of the EDITable variables in the top section of the screen.

I am running Windows 2000. Will it be different?

It's the same in W2K, except it's called Environment Variables (probably a mistype by the previous poster).

Don't have a 2k system at home to double check for sure.

It is the same (except as I noted above). I am using W2K Pro SP4+ and checked it myself to confirm it.
