Guys,

I have a friend that has an Asus A7n8X-E Deluxe. He has a standard desktop 2500+ with 2x512 of Corsair valueram. (It is PC3200)

What we are trying to do is simply get the CPU to run at 3200+ speeds.

If we set the ram at 200 mhz and the multiplier to 11, no video. If the ram is at 166x11, works fine.

What would you all suggest?

My a7n8x delux was a terrable overclocker. Increase your voltages a little. Whats the highest FSB you can do stable at 11x?

Well, I would say at first if you get no video to check and see if the agp is locked. But you said you get video if you run your memory at a 166 divider...

Check the memory voltage maybe? You may have to up it a bit. 2.8 volts is pretty common for ram to handle nicely if I remember correctly. A lot of ram I know stock voltage is around 2.8 but some motherboards will only give it 2.6 or 2.7 by default.

i would say get a new motherboard my a7n8x wouldnt hold 200fsb unless i had the volt mods applyed.
