Stripe size performance normally depends on how large of files your working with as to which is faster. For normal desktop usage the smallest size your RAID controller supports will usually yield the best performance.

i do dvd encoding so i need it at 32K, most files on there are over 500MB

Onboard RAID controller? ... limited to the bandwidth of the PCI bus?

That looks like one piss poor driver causing results like that. Also, that CPU usage is REALLY high. Way to get ninja-1337 scores in a synthetic test though. Also, that burst rate looks pretty weak too - I can get 135MB/sec burst out of RAID-0 on ICH5R with two Samsung SP1213C's.
