View Full Version : problem with XP and mp3 file extensions

I have no problem playing them, and xp even lists winamp as the proper default player, the problem is the icons in explorer or my computer or whatever you wanna cal it are not right. It displays the icon you get when you have no programs that recognize the file type you have. When it should have the winamp icon displaying it. The funny thing is it does display the winamp icon on .m3u files, but not on .mp3 files. Now i know you can go into winamp and change what icon you want showing, but i have done this several times and have selected one, and changed it a few times and i can't get it to show anything other than that icon it shows when you don't have a program associated with that type of file.

Granted this isn't a huge deal, because they still work, its still a little bit weird.

Anybody have any ideas?
