issue with updates

i cant seem to even get to the windows update site to search for updates.....background intelegence transfer service is started..idk what the deal is here

you need the "background intelligent transfer service" and the "automatic updates" services turned on, maybe even set to automatically start when the machine starts, for the windows update to function correctly. you also need active-x turned on.

all 3 of these ae enabled by default with a clean o.s. install ... so have you been adjusting services or internet settings lately?? or perhaps do you have a firewall blocking traffic?
